My DIY Home Gym Modifications and Hacks are mostly geared toward improving the FITNESS REALITY 810XLT Super Max Power Rack Cage along with the 710 Olympic Lat Pull Down & Low Row Cable Attachment.
For me, no other DIY Mod was actually needed except for my Cable Belt Squat Flat Platform, only because I have many college football injuries and training heavy on regular squats - I developed a major spinal problem with 3 herniated discs. My squating days were over, unless I wanted to paralize myself by loading weight on my shoulders compressing my spine.
The other DIY Mods I made were actually just to see if I could make them and I was excited to have a home gym because of the global pandemic.
These DIY improvements were all created only with my grandfathers old school 1970's 7 1/4" Model 574 Electric Skil Circular Hand Saw and 1978 BLACK+DECKER Workmate Portable Workbench.
Every wood cut was done by eye and not one cut is a perfect 90 degrees, but I made it work.
It takes me 3 times as long to create a DIY Home Gym Mod than other DIYers because my number one priority is to actually work-out on my own equipment.
My goal was to keep as much off the ground as possible, to only buy and make DIY Home Gym fitness equipment mods that I will actually use and to show other home gym lifters how to DIY modify and improve their own Fitness Reality gear.
*Rules for Home Gym DIYers*
1st Rule - Never let any DIY Home Gym Mod project interfere with your normal work-out schedule. If you violate this Rule, you will end up looking like you never worked-out in your life.
2nd Rule - Don't violate the 1st rule. Because then, only You would understand when someone asks You: "Do You Even Lift, Bro?"
